Australia’s barbering industry levels up in April 2026.
New national barbering event launches across three cities.
Registrations are now open for the 2026 Big Barber Bash (TBBB), a new national event bringing real barbering education, competition, and culture directly to the industry.
Created to support both emerging and experienced professionals, TBBB delivers hands-on learning through live demonstrations, honest career conversations, and high-energy competitions that put skills under pressure. Set in a nightclub-style environment, the event blends education, networking and entertainment, creating an immersive experience for barbers and hairdressers alike.
In April 2026, TBBB will tour Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, turning each city into a hub for connection, creativity, and community — where professionals can share ideas, sharpen their skills, and celebrate the craft.
Founded by Carmelo Francese of Inspire Brands, The Big Barber Bash was built to create opportunity, build confidence, and give barbers and hairdressers a platform to grow their careers and be part of something bigger than their own chair.
“The best ideas are often inspired by what already exists. We scoured the world for the best barbering education and industry events and brought those ideas together into The Big Barber Bash. As a business owner supplying the industry, I’m invested in the future of barbering. This event is about helping the industry flourish, now and into the future,” said Carmelo.
2026 marks the first year of The Big Barber Bash, launching across three Australian cities, with plans to expand nationally and into New Zealand and Asia in future years.
